- Bakrol Field (Cambay Basin)
Located approximately 16 km southeast of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, within the prolific Cambay Basin, the Bakrol Field is Company’s flagship producing asset. Spanning an area of 36 sq. km, the field was awarded under the Pre-NELP round for small onshore discovered fields, with the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) signed on March 13, 1995.
The Company holds a 100% participating interest and operates the field. The primary hydrocarbon-bearing zones are the K-VIII and K-IX reservoirs of the Kalol Formation (Middle Eocene age).
Since assuming operations in October 1995, the Company has executed extensive development programs, including 3D seismic acquisition and interpretation, new well drilling, surface infrastructure enhancement and hydraulic fracturing. Bakrol continues to be Company’s cornerstone asset with huge untapped potential.
